Formula SAE
The Competition
“Formula SAE® (Society of Automotive Engineers) is an international collegiate engineering competition where student teams design, build, and race small-scale Formula-style race cars. The competition challenges students to apply their engineering knowledge and skills in various aspects such as vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics, powertrain design, and manufacturing processes. Participants are tasked with creating a prototype race car within strict regulations, balancing performance, reliability, and cost considerations. Beyond racing, Formula SAE fosters teamwork, innovation, and professional development as students collaborate to bring their designs to life and compete against teams from the best universities around the world.”
